SXSW 2023

A Citizen-Centric Future City

Headed to South by Southwest? Learn more about the panelists contributing to the Citizen-Centric Future conversation and connect with them on social media.

What to expect from this panel: As we approach the second quarter of the 21st century there's a growing tension between the role of cities as centers of finance and capital, and vibrant places for people to live, work and flourish. How can a city remain accessible to the people keeping it alive, and move from looking at people as mere consumers to true citizens? Culture, housing, work, accessibility, affordability, mobility, and education are just a few of the puzzle pieces needed to create an urban community.

This panel invites an architect, a mobility expert, and a future-focused and people-led business leader to discuss the sustainable future of transformative urban design, creating space for more free mobility and engagement, and more personal human(e) connection to the landscape, to freedom and to health.
