The Whitehead Institute, located on the MIT campus, has been the site of groundbreaking biomedical research for nearly 40 years. They pioneered a unique model of fostering creative inquiry by providing top-level scientific investigators with the tools and autonomy to freely pursue their own research interests.
Explaining the value of Foundational Science to the public has been a longstanding challenge. Through a new visual identity and a more user-centric site, we helped clarify their purpose and illustrate the full impact that their work has on the world—for decades past and to come.
