Bastienne Jaques

Associate Operations Director

As Associate Operations Director, Bastienne uses her Swiss-army-knife-like skills to handle all administrative activities for our Paris studio, from owning Studio and People operations to organizing celebrations for the team, or advising on best practices, in order to ensure the team can seamlessly focus on doing their best work while living their best lives.

Before joining AREA 17, Bastienne worked as a Marketing Assistant in a pharmaceutical company called Biocodex where her responsibilities included administration, budgeting and event logistics. She holds a Bachelors of Arts from the University of Lausanne in English and Social Sciences.

Born and raised in Yverdon, Switzerland, Bastienne moved to Paris in 2010. She loves to read, cook and could spend hours sitting at a café and watching people pass by. Bastienne plays the saxophone and is trying to learn to play the ukulele, so far with less convincing results.
