Producer/ Project Manager


At AREA 17 we plan, create and grow digital products. We help our clients succeed by delivering products that improve life, work and play. Specializing in responsive websites and mobile apps for content, community, commerce and culture, we take an interdisciplinary approach to problem-solving and place a strong emphasis on craft in every detail from design to code.

We are looking for a new addition to our Production Team. As the Producer/ Project Manager, you support the vitality and facilitate the health of product builds. With an appetite for business, and an aptitude for technology and design, you approach client business problems with holistic strategic thinking and collaborate with the Design and Engineering Leads to build world class innovative product solutions. With consummate communication skills, you are comfortable in a variety of professional situations such as organizing client presentations. The successful candidate possesses two to four years of agency or digital product experience, and brings an established track record of on time and on budget projects. This is an intermediate level position on a small team with the opportunity for growth.


  • Projects: Scoping and management of deliverables, budgets and schedule
  • Relationship management: Developing and tending to client relationships
  • Team: Coordinating on/offsite designers and developers
  • Requirements: Defining client business needs
  • Quality: Responsible for the quality assurance process
  • Documentation: Writing documents such as statements of work, meeting notes, etc.
  • Meetings: Host all internal and client meetings related to your projects


  • 2-4 years of digital agency/ product/ design/ management experience
  • Expert organizational skills with an insane attention to detail
  • Solid presentation skills with the ability to sell your team’s work and ideas
  • Ability to write with clarity and style
  • Solid understanding of user interface design process and methodologies
  • Solid understanding of web development process and methodologies
  • Solid understanding of web standards and best practices
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, Flash, etc.
  • Working knowledge of the capacities and limitations of web development
  • Familiar with Mac OSX environments, we don’t have any PC’s
  • Up-to-date with current technologies and trends (specifically Agile Development)
