Robyn Frank

People Operations Director

As People Operations Director, Robyn crafts global people practices that further differentiate AREA 17 as a value-driven agency; to create the felt experiences of our mission and vision to do great work and live good lives. Her concentration spans all facets of the employee life cycle and overall employment experience from recruitment, onboarding, and our professional growth program.

After earning a BFA in Printmaking from Pratt Institute, Robyn began her career as a fabricator for blue-chip artist Takashi Murakami. There she developed an interest in creating professional environments that bolster creativity and collaboration with efficiency — blending a left and right brain approach to human resources. Prior to AREA 17, Robyn was Studio Manager and HR assistant at Co: Collective, a strategy firm founded by Rosemary Ryan and Ty Montague, former VP’s of JWT. There, she helped scale business operations as the team tripled in size.

When she’s not solving people problems — Robyn maintains an art practice making paintings and drawings. She loves watching BBC nature documentaries with her cat Mr. Tickles and traveling to the American Southwest with her husband.
