Robyn is the office and HR manager of the New York studio. Aside from maintaining smooth office operations, she leads all HR and staffing activities and strategic initiatives. Together with the Paris operations team, she ensures streamlined cross-office communication and collaboration.
After earning a BFA in Printmaking from Pratt Institute, Robyn started her career as a fabricator for blue-chip artist Takashi Murakami. There she developed an interest in creating business practices that support creativity, going on to pursue human resources.
Prior to AREA 17, Robyn was studio manager and HR assistant at Co: Collective, a strategy firm founded by Rosemary Ryan and Ty Montague, former VP’s of JWT. She helped scale business operations as the team tripled in size, onboarding team members, throwing parties, fixing broken printers, you know … all the things.
When she’s not studio wrangling, Robyn paints, draws and performs country music a la Loretta Lynn. She loves watching BBC nature documentaries with her cat Mr. Tickles and her summertime commitment to weekly beach visits has earned her the nickname “Beach Master.”
