Christophe da Silva
User Experience Director
As user experience director, Christophe is part of the design team with a focus on UX Strategy, information architecture and interaction design. He drives the agency’s approach to user experience design methodologies and works on client engagements at the NYC office. Since joining the agency in 2014, his key engagements include Art Institute of Chicago, The New York Times Company, Princeton University Press, New York Road Runners and Engadget.
Christophe’s approach to product design is influenced by his background as a web and mobile developer, combining his deep engineering knowledge with his love for design and advocacy for the user. Before joining AREA 17, he led the development and user experience design for apps, startups and digital agencies. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a specialization in Multimedia and Human-Computer Interaction.
Of Portuguese origin, Christophe speaks just enough Portuguese to feign fluency. He is an avid runner and enjoys hiking. After a few years in New York City, it seems he has managed to find a perfect balance between the density and diversity of a big city and finding time to escape to the outdoors.
