Christophe da Silva
As user experience director, Christophe is part of the design team with a focus on architecture, user flows and prototyping. He drives the agency’s approach to user experience design methodologies and works on client engagements across both offices. Since joining the agency in 2014, his key engagements include The Century Foundation, Dering Hall, Engadget, New Republic, Maison&Objet and Opéra National de Paris.
Christophe’s approach to user experience is influenced by his background as a web and mobile developer, combining his deep engineering knowledge with his love for design and advocacy for the user. Before joining AREA 17, he led development and user experience design for apps, startups and digital agencies including Framfab LBi, and Soleil Noir Studio. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a minor in Multimedia and Human-Computer Interaction.
Of Portuguese origin, Christophe speaks just enough Portuguese to feign fluency. He is an avid runner and enjoys snowboarding and hiking. After 15 years in Paris it seems he has managed to find the perfect balance between the density and diversity of a big city and his love of the outdoors.
