Interactive Designer in New York City or Paris, France

We are seeking an Interactive Designer with solid user-centered website experience. This is a freelance opportunity that has the possibility to develop into a full-time position. May require travel between offices.

Status – Freelance to Full-time
Salary – Contract based, commensurate with experience
Reports to – Creative Director
Location – New York City (Williamsburg, Brooklyn) or Paris, France

Primary responsibilities:

Candidate will work along side of the Art Director to design page comps for a content and community website using a new visual identity we recently developed. Candidate needs strong Adobe Illustrator skills or be a real fast learner. Please, no Flash designers .

Required skills:

• 1-3 years of interactive design experience
• A keen eye for accuracy and a desire to implement highly crafted performance websites
• Solid understanding of web standards and best practices
• Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite, the ability to design in Illustrator is a must

Desired skills:

• Logo and Visual Identity Design
• Print Design and Production
