Website Design + Front-end Development
for AOL Weather. (USA)

Talking about the weather is now officially sexy ... not in a 'purring pussycat' sort of way, but in that 'if I do it every day, shouldn't it be a pleasure to do' modus operandi

New York City, June 12, 2008 — AOL Weather, the highest click-thru from aol.com has just launched in beta. AREA 17 was hired to design the all new website with a fresh look, new features and improved architecture and user interface. Our goal was to make the experience useful and feature-rich while remaining simple, streamlined and easy on the eyes.

For our fellow web geeks out there, we also had the pleasure to do the interface development. A perfect opportunity to create a highly accessible website without visual compromise.

Check out the beta website, take a look around and send AOL some feedback. Interested in comparing to the old website? Just go to, weather.aol.com.
